ND (Network Data) and TLG (Transaction Log Files) are configuration files within the QuickBooks software. Without these two files, the user becomes unable to open the QB file in a multi-user environment. QuickBooks brings several errors when the files get corrupted. The software rebuilds ND and TLG files while you access and scan the QB file with the QuickBooks database server manager. You could bear the loss of data after renaming these files.

How do I open an ND file in QuickBooks?

1. Open the Windows Explorer 2. Tap Shared Drive and store the QBDBSM. 3. Perform a right-click on the Explorer window. 4. Select New and click Folder 5. Provide a name for the folder like QuickBooks Data. 6. Save the folder now. 7. Try to launch the folder while selecting all the files. 8. Copy the same and paste them to the new folder. 9. Select Properties by right-clicking on the folder. 10. Navigate towards the Sharing tab and Advanced Sharing. 11. Now, tap Share this folder by providing a new name. 12. Hit the Permissions tab, choose to Add a user. 13. Click OK then the tab Allow. 14. From there, choose Full Control. 15. Thereafter, hit OK. 16. Choose the user’s permission to Full Control 17. You can add more users to the software by repeating these steps. 18. Consequently, provide access to QBDataServiceXX (XX denotes the version of QuickBooks, if it is 23 then the version is 2013). 19. After that, hit Full Control to QBDataService23. 20. Hit OK and Close. 21. Go to the My Computer icon and highlight it. 22. Choose Map Network Drive 23. Choose the drive letter for the QuickBooks database like Q. 24. Once done, tap Browse. 25. Move toward the shared QB folder. 26. Thereafter, hit OK and Finish.
