  • Select “All Programs then click “Accessories.”
  • Now, select the “Run” button.
  • Fill out the text box with “Services.MSC” then press enter.
  • The “Services” pane displays a list of available services.
  • Locate and choose “QBPOS Database Manager and select “Restart”.  
  • Additionally, try restarting your POS software.
  • Later, if the issue still exists, go to the UAC settings.

Method 4: Launch QBPOS Shell Again.

Re-launching QuickBooks POS Shell can also resolve the QuickBooks error 100 issue. You can try this method by following the steps – 

Processor-> Task Manager-> Image Name-> Right-click the QBPOSShell.exe file and select End Process/Close Task Manager.

The following will prevent the POS software from operating in the background and now, relaunch the Point of Sale software. Now, proceed to the following steps, in the event of several QBPOS Shell services:

  • On the computer, right-click the Point of Sale icon.
